Coffee for Peace in Colombia hosts a competition and auction for the region of Cauca, Colombia. This regional contest is organized by the Committee of Coffee Growers of Cauca and supported by USAID’s Coffee for Peace initiative. More than 300 coffee lots were submitted for the competition and at least 30 lots scoring 85.5 and up will go to auction.
Coffee for Peace in Colombia is an alliance that aims at promoting the production and export of specialty coffee from more than 10,000 farmers. The vision is to sustain the peace process by increasing the income of coffee farmers through quality improvement and new market linkages.
The online Best of Cauca auction will take place on October 14, 2021 with an interactive virtual meeting between the winning coffee producers and the registered buyers on October 13, 2021.
