Coffee for Peace in Colombia, the National Federation of Coffee Growers (FNC), and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), through its Producers to Markets Alliance program, invite you to join us on our first ever Virtual Buyers Caravan to Cauca and Valle del Cauca, Colombia.
What is the Virtual Buyers Caravan?
This virtual experience will bring Cauca and Valle del Cauca to life over the course of four days, August 11-14, 2020, with 90 minute visits to producer groups and interactive cupping sessions. Buyers participating in the C4P Virtual Buyers Caravan will receive a set of around 40 top micro-lots and regional blends (both roasted and green) from four producer organizations located in Cauca and Valle, Colombia, and will be asked to cup and submit scores for discussion prior to each visit. At the end of the trip buyers will have the opportunity to contract coffees for shipment during the month of September 2020. Coffees are priced from $2-3, with the option to add a quality bonus.
Virtual Caravan Vision
While we expect travel restrictions to be lifted sooner or later, we envision this virtual caravan as an innovative template for how we can continue to connect with the global coffee community in a sustainable, low cost, yet effective and meaningful way – now and in the years to come. We look forward to your participation in this pioneering virtual buying caravan!
