Pre-Event Activity
Participating buyers will cup coffees on their own schedule and submit scores the week before the event. Cupping scores will be reviewed during each virtual visit.

- Schedule Format
This virtual experience will bring Cauca and Valle del Cauca to life over the course of four days, August 11-14, 2020, with 90-120 minute visits to producer groups and interactive cupping sessions. Buyers participating in the Virtual Buyers Caravan will receive a set of around 40 top micro-lots and regional blends (both roasted and green) from four producer organizations located in Cauca and Valle, Colombia, and will be asked to cup and submit scores for discussion prior to each visit.

The coffee samples will be shipped the first week of August from California, USA. Remote cupping sessions begin the morning of August 4.
Remote cupping sessions for the Virtual Buyers Caravan will be available on the morning of Tuesday, August 4 (US Time). Please record your scores through the Cropster Cup mobile app or submit your scores in Cropster through a web browser. If you need assistance with Cropster, training is available. Learn more here.

Please join us August 11-14, 2020 @ 10am Colombia Time (COT), which is located in the UTC−05:00 zone. Each Live Visit will run 90-120 minutes:
- Los Angeles, CA, USA – 08:00 am
- Bogota, Colombia – 10:00 am
- New York, NY, USA – 11:00 am
- Amsterdam, Netherlands – 04:00 pm
- South Korea, Seoul – 12:00 am
- Sydney, Australia – 1:00am
You can appoint another colleague from your company to attend on your behalf and participate in the session presentations and discussions.
We will also record each day’s event and can provide you a link in case you missed the live participation.
With a limited supply of coffee samples available, only one “attendee” can be appointed per company. An “attendee” will view and participate in the sessions, including cupping samples the week before the event. To invite a colleague as an “observer”, please contact us below with their full name and email address. An “observer” will only view the sessions but will not be actively participating.
On the day of the event, visit the Event Schedule in the Coffee for Peace Portal to connect to the live broadcasts.
Buyers will connect to the live session on your computer through Zoom. Please download the Zoom desktop or mobile application for the strongest connection.
Observers will connect to the live session through the web browser. Please visit that day’s details page to connect.
To connect to the live sessions you will need a computer or a mobile device and an internet connection – broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE).
