Buyers participating in the C4P Virtual Buyers Caravan will receive a set of top micro-lots and regional blends (both roasted and green) from four producer organizations located in Cauca and Valle, Colombia, and will be asked to cup and submit scores for discussion prior to each visit. Learn more here.
Remote cupping sessions for the Virtual Buyers Caravan will be available on the morning of Tuesday, August 4 (US Time). Please record your scores through the Cropster Cup mobile app or submit your scores in Cropster through a web browser. If you need assistance with Cropster, training is available. Learn more here.
The coffees will come from farmers of four organizations in Colombia:
- Comite del Cauca
- Cencoic
- Cafinorte
- Cafioccidente
Of the 40 lots, the majority of lots are Individual Farmer Micro-Lots between 5-10 bags (35kg each of green coffee), with a few community lots reaching between 100-150 bags (35kg each of green coffee). The lot sizes of each lot will be confirmed during the event.
Coffee lots will range in price from $1.95-3 FOB Colombia. Buyers will have the option to reward their favorite coffees with a voluntary quality premium.
Each sample was taken from the actual received parchment coffee lots, which are stored in pergamino in the farmer organization warehouses.
All the coffees will be dry milled and exported by the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia.
All coffees will be packaged in Grain Pro in 35kg bags.
The National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia will be in charge export and logistics will range between $0.30 and $0.50 per lb. depending on physical coffee parchment to exportable green coffee yields.
You must register with us and be approved as a buyer prior to the event in order to receive samples and purchase these coffees. Any approved buyer, Roasting or Trading company, can purchase the coffees.
